Autograph letter signed from Alan Rawsthorne to Barbara Rawsthorne Dated 3 September 1945. 28 Ormond Terrace, N.W.8. Blue George VI twopence ha'epenny stamp, postmarked with ringing bells and London N.W.1, 9.15am 10 Sep 1945. Envelope addressed to Miss Rawsthorne, Springhaven, Dinerth Road, Colwyn Bay, Denbighshire. Rawsthorne sent to the Army Film Unit to write music for a film on the Burma Campaign. Writing music "less exhausting at my time of life than picking one's way over the ruins of the Kurfurstendamm". To be decommissioned no later than at the end of next November.
